Steven Van Veen

Mr. Van Veen joined Systems Made Simple in June 2009 to build the company's Proposal Department and to manage the company's responses to all solicitations.

As the Senior Director of Marketing and Sales for Systems Made Simple, Mr. Van Veen established, documented and implemented the company's proposal processes. Together with his high performance team of proposal experts, he has contributed to proposal wins of more than $50m in committed contract dollars within 18 months. Mr. Van Veen has incorporated elements and best practices of the Shipley Process into Systems Made Simple and is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals.

Mr. Van Veen has more than 15 years of proposal and sales experience and has been responsible for managing the creation and submission of winning IT proposals in the government and commercial space. He has direct experience with proposals of all sizes, from multi-billion dollar GWAC responses with more than 40 partners, to 24-hour task order responses. With a broad-based IT background that includes computer hardware and software, IT services, B2B and B2G web applications, telecommunications and data warehousing, Mr. Van Veen is able to apply his skills and experience to assist with all aspects of proposal design including win strategy, solution design, pricing strategy, risk assessments and technical writing.
