SMS developed a secure access messaging technology (known as SAMS) over 10 years ago for use in the manufacturing industry. SMS always designs with reusability in mind and as such has applied this technology as the cornerstone of several implementations for federal agencies. The use of SAMS for the Social Security Administration's Electronic Verification of Vital Events (EVVE) system and NAPHSIS' State and Territorial Exchange of Vital Events (STEVE) are two examples of how SMS applies its technology solutions across different domains.
