Systems Made Simple is dedicated to supporting both our nation's veterans as well as the communities in which we live and work. Here are a few of the charities that we proudly support.

Fisher House

The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

There is at least one Fisher House at every major military medical center to assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Annually, the Fisher House program serves more than 12,000 families, and have made available over three million days of lodging to family members since the program originated in 1990. By law, there is no charge for any family to stay at a Fisher House operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs; and Fisher House Foundation uses donations to reimburse the individual Fisher Houses operated by the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Systems Made Simple is committed to supporting Fisher House and its goal of helping veterans in their time of need, and has instituted an automatic payroll deduction plan which to date has resulted in over $25,000 in donations from SMS employees. Additionally SMS has participated in the annual Fisher House Golf Classic which is a major fundraising event for the Fisher House Foundation typically raising over $550,000.

Able Forces

The mission of Able Forces is to address the critical employment and training needs of our combat injured veterans of OEF/OIF and all disabled veterans. They emphasize continuity of support and focus on providing employment opportunities and community-based job preparation training to our Nation's heroes suffering from Severe Physical Disabilities, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and minor to profound Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

As part of our support of Able Forces, Systems Made Simple is a sponsor of the Ride a Mile 4 Able Forces motorcycle ride.

Wounded Warrior Project

The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower our nation's wounded warriors. The project provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members and raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.

As part of our support of Wounded Warrior Project, Systems Made Simple is a Platinum Level Sponsor of the BITS Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament and a Silver Level Sponsor of the GTSI Charity 5K Run/Walk, both of which benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
